karma_collapse wrote:nice set up. but that is alot of work for only one sub. why not fill all the available space??? since your car is no longer a hatch anyway. (meaning you have no space anyway)

but all in all it looks good. hope you have no flat tires.

I compete in sound quality so I don't really need two subs, plus a second sub and another amp to drive it would have been at least another grand.I would rather save up for new seats.I have a few 7 inch video monitors I will incorperate into some of that space. I will still most likely hit 138 dB with this setup. I am pushing 1000 watts RMS to the sub. and 150 watts RMS to each of the other 7 speakers. I have it set up so I still can get to the spare relativly easy.

Which Kinetik did you end up putting in? The HC1400?

Yup, the HC1400 is the way I went so it fit properly.

I used just about 4 bulk kits, but I doubled up some areas. I went a bit overboard. There is more to it than just dynamat, adding closed cell foam on top make a big difference.

Take a look at sounddeadenershowdown.com. It has everything you need to know and it may be cheaper as well.
